Reading: 2 Corinthians 12:7-10

Focus: 2 Corinthians 12:8-9a

Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”

Consider these prompts to guide your prayers this week:

  • Paul prayed (pleaded!) three times for the “thorn in his side” to be removed, but it wasn’t. When the answer seems to be “no”, pray for the humility to trust in God’s timing.
  • Thank God for His unfailing love and mercy towards you, remembering that His grace is sufficient.
  • It is difficult to be weak. Ask God to use you in a way that your weakness brings glory to Him.
